My project is to get this rusty 1985 Yamaha 750 XJ and restore it to it's former glory minus the police signs of course and on a limited budget
Initial cost = $350.00 which gave me a running bike - sort of, plus another bike for bits (all rusted and scratched)
So any parts that I could not repair or make will have to come from the US, because even with freight, they were so much cheaper
To get rid of rust and to prevent it re-occurring, a good anti-rust paint was essential and another expense, so I checked around and found the
guys at The Rust Shop had just the thing with their KBS plus they were also happy to freely give advise and help, as to what I needed and some of the results are shown
Prices of the KBS were surprisingly reasonable compared to others that I had checked out
